Dr. Jay Sabatino, forty-year educator and administrator in the public schools, is the grandson of Italian immigrants who arrived in America at the turn of the 20th Century. His father, an army veteran of WW II, served overseas for most of his 23 years in the service. Jay, upon his graduation from college, married Melissa Dorman, whose father was a diplomat in the Middle East and whose family traces its roots back to the Revolutionary War. They reared four children in Illinois. They enjoy traveling and often play tennis together, after which they reward themselves with ice cream sundaes.
